NA Selank Amidate is a structural modification of Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) featuring an N-terminal acetyl group and C-terminal amidation. These two modifications increase peptide resistance to aminopeptidases and carboxypeptidases, extending the in vitro half-life relative to the native form. Studies on Selank (PMID 31625062, PMC5322660) show modulation of hippocampal BDNF and NGF expression, potentiation of GABAergic transmission without direct binding to the GABA-A receptor, and reduced cortisol under acute stress conditions. The N-acetyl-amidated form is studied as a more stable analog for in vitro protocols of neuroprotection, synaptic plasticity, and cytokine modulation (IL-6, IFN-α). Behaviorally, the literature reports anxiolytic effects without sedation, improved memory and attention, and mild immunomodulation.
